ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Taliban militant group claimed responsibility for twin suicide bomb attack in Quetta today. The attacks reportedly killed 24 people.
"We are carrying out attacks," said Ehsan Ehsanullah Taliban spokesman told AFP on Wednesday (07/09/2011).
Ehsan assess the action of the attack itself is an act of revenge. "This attack is a form of revenge for the arrest of our brothers, by the Pakistani security forces in Quetta recently," said Ehsan.
Earlier, Pakistani forces captured Al Qaeda officials Younis al-Mauritani and two other members of complexity on Monday, September 5. All three are suspected of being about to carry out attacks in Australia, the United States and Europe.
Meanwhile, two suicide bomb attacks that occurred in Quetta today done to the residence of Chief of Paramilitary Forces Farrukh Shehzad Baluchistan.
The first explosion occurred when a suicide bomber detonates an explosives-filled car, near the entrance Shehzad.
While the second offender detonates himself upon entering the home of Shehzad. This second explosion killed the perpetrator and the bodyguard of Shehzad. The blast also caused Shehzad's wife also died.
An unknown bomber named Ahmed Gul, an Afghan refugee aged 21 years. Gul's identity, is based upon the discovery of refugee identity cards in his body.
